1. What is SoftPay
SoftPay.org's is the answer to the current void that has bogged down ecommerce in Nigeria for time before now. SoftPay is an intermediate Naira payment processor that serves both the seller and the buyer so that payment of goods/services can be exchanged with confidence over the internet for the mutual benefit od both groups, hence the trem 'Third Party Online Secure Payment Provider'.


2. Do I need a credit card to open an account
No you do not need to have a credit card. Here are the required information
to open a SoftPay.org account, you must provide your name, company name (if any), address, phone number, home page (if any), and e-mail address. In order to make payments through SoftPay.org, you must provide bank account information for verification. We may also ask you to choose different security questions to answer. This required information may be necessary for us to process transactions, issue a new password if you forget or lose your password.SoftPay.org.


3. SoftPay for buyers?
Yes. As a buyer, when you use SoftPay you know that your money is secure and you have the confidence of a third party to mediate just in case some thing goes wrong.


4. SoftPay for sellers?
Yes. All trusted SoftPay merchants offer a money back guarantee. This increases buyer confidence while raising trading standards etiquette. Buyers will be happy to deal with you when they see the 'Pay by SoftPay' sign on your site.


5. How do I load money into my account?
You can add funds to your SoftPay account by (a) Bank Deposit (b) e-Cheque (c) PayPal and (d) Credit/Debit Card.
To load your SoftPay.org account, sign in to the members area and then click on the 'DEPOSIT MONEY' tab. Enter the amount you wish to deposit and choose your preferred method of deposit (normally Bank Deposit) and then click 'DEPOSIT NOW'. You will be taken to the next page where you will confirm details of your deposit. You will then be presented with the choice of PayPal, Credit/Debit card or Bank Deposit. If you live in Nigeria, your option is Bank Deposit, you will be required to pay whatever amount you want to deposit plus the transaction fee directly into the SoftPay Bank account at Bank PHB.
For PayPal or Credit/Debit card options, you click on the button for further instructions where you can make your payment over the phone, live.
Your funds will be available within 4-10hrs after you have made the deposit.
For Interswitch card holders, Interswitch payments will be available soon.
Users abroad, you will need to work out how much to pay in GBP based on the prevailing exchange rate on the SoftPay money transfer page. Please remember for your payment to be processed go back and click 'CONTINUE' on the original SoftPay payment page.
*All monies deposited into your SoftPay.org account remain YOUR property and can be withdrawn at any time less trancsaction fees.*


6. How do I withdraw my money?
To withdraw money from your SoftPay.org account, sign in to the members area and then click on the 'WITHDRAW MONEY' tab. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and select your preferred method from the options there. and then click 'WITHDRAW NOW' (If you want to withdraw directly into your bank account then select 'Direct Bank Deposit/LMT'). You will be taken to the next page where you will need to confirm your adress/bank details. Click 'CONTINUE' > next page 'Transaction Details' click 'CONTINUE'. Thats it. The money will be in your bank account within 24hrs. If you select 'e-Cheque/cash@counter(CAC)' You will get an email within 24hrs with details on how to pick up the money in cash over the counter from your nearest SoftPay partner Bank.
N.B.- Please note that withdrawals can only be made via the same account/method that the deposit was made. If however you wish to withdraw to a different account/method(e.g you deposit by credit card and you want to withraw via Bank) please send a special withdrawal request to info@softpay.org stating your reasons as such transactions might be subject to a Foreign Exchange Charge.


7. Can I join MLM scheme?
You decide. While SoftPay.org does accept MLM and Income Opportunity vendors, you should note that joining any MLM or Income Opportunity is done at your own risk. There are many legitimate opportunities on the Internet and each one should be carefully investigated before making any decision to join.


8. Charity donations/payments?
Yes. As a charity organisation you can increase your collections by accepting SoftPay on your website. You will definitely see a rise in small change collections as other users donate to your cause. Remember, every little helps.
SoftPay also has special concessions in fees for all registered charities. Contact us to see how your charity can benefit.


9. ₦200 free??
Yes. When you open your SoftPay account you will automatically be credited with N200 free as a welcome bonus. This money is yours to use as you please subject to fair use policy.


10. Cant find your e-mail?
If you are expecting a mail from SoftPay or anyone else and you cant find it in your 'inbox' you could try checking regularly into your 'spam' box.
This happens often where mails get misdirected and treated as spam due to the actions of an over-zealous spam protector in your e-mail.
To ensure that you don't miss out on any of your payments or special notices from SoftPay, simply add info@softpay.org to your email contacts list(address book).


11. Secure Connection Error?
If you encounter a security error message trying to access the SoftPay.org site, please follow these steps to get access. You only need to do this once for any system. This is a common occurence on the web due to SSL confusion and is applicable to any website which you trust. Your security on this site remains intact and is not compromised in any way whatsoever.
